Skirting is the beginning for preparing the fleece for processing. Skirting is also usually done before selling a fleece and is usually done by the shepherd(ess).
Skirting is the process of removing unwanted material such as: vegetable matter, matted wool, foreign objects, dung tags, second cuts, etc. from the fleece.
- Fleeces that contain high levels of unwanted material will NOT be accepted and returned to the owner at the owner's expense.
- All prices are subject to change without notice.
- Type of payments accepted: Check, Cash, Money Order or PayPal (3% processing fee for PayPal)
- $30.00 fee will be charged for returned checks.
- Return shipping paid by fleece owner.
- Shipping will be by UPS or USPS.
- Payment in full is due before fiber is returned.
- Fiber unpaid for 90 days after notification of completion automatically becomes property of Folklore Fibers.
